Christian Atheism Starts Tomorrow
Course, Guests, Festival and More!
Christian Atheism course starts tomorrow (October 20th)! The course will build the concept of Christian Atheism through the history of modern philosophy, including Kantian Transcendentalism, Schelling's Revelation, Hegel's Philosophy of Religion, Marxist Communitarian Atheism, Nietzschean Existentialism of Death of God, Freudian Religious Deconstruction, Lacanian Indestructibility of Religion, Altizer's Christian Atheist Gospel, Zizek's Transcendental-Speculative Quantum Physics and Emancipatory Politics, and Rollins' Pyrotheology, Church of Contradiction, and Drive Denomination.
The course will also feature four guest lectures from Slavoj Zizek, Peter Rollins, Barry Taylor, and Mark Gerard Murphy, and will be connected to a conference at Wake Festival in late April 2025. Learn the philosophical foundations necessary to think the contradiction of Christianity and Atheism, which in many ways constitutes the story of modern philosophy, and helps us break the contemporary discourse on religion and secularity.
