This December, The Portal invites you to embark on a journey into "The Real", inspired by the enigmatic concepts of Lacanian psychoanalysis. Our four events this month will engage your mind, challenge your perspective, and connect you with a community of passionate thinkers.

Concept Cave (December 2nd): we focus on the concept of The Real. Join us in exploring the tensions between illusion, truth, and reality in an immersive philosophical experience.

The Edge (December 9th) / Guest Leader: Naomi Roth: Navigate the boundaries of Anthropology and AI. Anthropologist Naomi Roth will guide us through the interplay between the human mind and artificial intelligence, reshaping how people are expressing discourse.

Thought Lab (December 16th) / Guest Leader: Katherine Everitt: what is "The Real" of Space? Philosopher Katherine Everitt, author of Hegel in Vertigo, leads a session on how space—logical, natural, and spiritual—relates to the Lacanian Real.

Real Talk (December 23rd) / Guest Leader: Sinziana Ravini: how to relate to Perversion? In this intimate and personal circling activity, psychoanalyst Sinziana Ravini helps us and guides us to think perversion and its relation to The Real.
