Rosy Cross and Christian Atheism
October at Philosophy Portal: conference and new course
Tomorrow is a big day at Philosophy Portal! We will be hosting an all-weekend conference titled "Rosy Cross: Questions of Right, Power, Love, Freedom", inspired by our recent course on Hegel's Philosophy of Right. Most of the presenters at this conference have been working with Hegel's Philosophy of Right throughout the year and will be developing theses around what this text has to teach us about modern politics. If you are interested in seeing the entire conference weekend schedule, or signing up, check the link below (after you click the Sign Up button you will be asked to enter your registration information, and I will be adding you to a mailing list for the conference weekend):
Rosy CrossPhilosophy Portal is also launching its next course this month, focused on the concept of Christian Atheism. Today we released the trailer for the course which you can find below:
The course will start October 20th, feature extensive lectures on the history of modern philosophy and how it relates to the concept of Christian Atheism, as well as guest lectures from Slavoj Zizek, Peter Rollins, Barry Taylor, and Mark Gerard Murphy. Members of the course will also have an opportunity to get involved in a physical event called Wake, hosted by Peter Rollins in Belfast this April.
